Define love

A modern dictionary for a modern audience through video for all. Learners create a video about a word or expression of their choice using signs, written examples in context, providing a definition of the word, acting to illustrate the word in context or describing what a word means to them, illustrating it with personal experiences.

Television News

Learners can produce news articles (one clip about one topic) or full news programmes (a collection of news articles) based on their own topics – news from the school, events, trips, local topics. Opportunities to exmplore the many roles involved in news preparation and presenting. Focus: writing of factual script; presentation in front of the camera. News programmes will help the writing skills and presentation skills (pronunciation) while additionally giving an insight into the production of TV news.

Pop music clips

Creating music clips – with guidelines produced by the PopuLLar project. PopuLLar is a very successful European funded project that uses popular music, video and languages to motivate language learning. Secondary students work, mainly autonomously, to select, write, direct, act, video and edit their song productions. Over 65 videos have been produced by students so far and the project continues.
